Description: Violinist Zino Francescatti signed his name, in pencil, in large looping letters across the front of this four page program for his performance at the Troy Music Hall in Troy, NY on November 6, 1952.
Both of Francescatti’s parents were violinists, and he was somewhat of a prodigy, making his debut at age 10, playing Beethoven’s Violin Concerto. He was revered for his incredible technical ability and many of the concerti recordings he did are still considered among the best examples ever performed.
