Description

Description: A charming typed note to a young admirer: "Thank you for continuing to like my work, and for your kind wishes. Harper & Brothers will publish a new story about Lad, late in September of this year. It is called ‘Lad of Sunnybank. Terhune signs in full: "Albert Payson Terhune"’"

Albert Payson Terhune (1872-1942) is best remembered for his numerous collie focused novels. He was also a noted breeder of collies, and this letter is on his illustrated "Sunnybank Collie Kennels" stationery.

This note is addressed to Charles Hamilton, and we believe it is written to the young man who went on to become a noted handwriting expert and autograph authority.
