Description: This moody, impressionistic etching effectively utilizes chiaroscuro to record the impact of a religious procession in the 16th c. St Peter's of the Exchange (Genoa, Italy). Brangwyn has signed in graphite at the lower right, the print is titled in another hand at the lower left.

Sir Frank William Brangwyn (1867-1956) was a multi-talented, essentially self-taught, artist who excelled as a painter, printmaker, illustrator, and designer. He was the first president of the Society of Graphic Art, President of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists and a full member of the Royal Academy.
Condition: Hinging tape residue at upper corners of verso with a few light spots of bleed-through at the upper blank recto margin. Margins are slightly trimmed but all remain at more than 1 3/8". Overall good condition.
