Description: We offer an 1880 presidential campaign bandana for Winfield S. Hancock and William English. The cotton textile is 17 ¾” x 17 ¼” and features jugate portraits of the executive branch hopefuls with a bi-color border of stars and flags. The ornamental details surrounding the men include a neoclassical cupola labeled “LIBERTY” and a vignette of Hancock commanding troops at the Battle of Spotsylvania. The text along the bottom reads: "Copyright 1880 by Hugh Mc Crossan, Joseph Laing, Lith. 10 & 12 Dey St New York." It is housed in a frame with the outside dimensions 22 ⅝” x 22 ⅝”. Item #AM00190.
